Psychoeducational Groups/Classes

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Class- Middle school & high school

DBT class will teach practical skills to help teens and pre-teens regulate their emotions, reduce risk of harm to self and others, develop healthier relationships, and manage stressful situations they may face during this season.  This class will also focus on “how to have holidays worth celebrating.”  We will meet for a booster session to reflect and reinforce useful skills between holidays.

Tuesdays from 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm for 10 consecutive sessions.

Personal Exploration Group

This group offers a safe environment for adults to develop insight about themselves and their relationship patterns, identify and explore feelings, receive support and feedback, and experiment with new ideas and behaviors.

Group Dates:

Weekly, Tuesdays @ 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm

*New members will be accepted on an ongoing basis but space is limited.  Please contact our office to schedule a pre-group information session.

Couples Workshops

Gottman Couples Workshop 

Join Leah Travis, LMFT, for a workshop packed with practical tools for deepening connection and partnership in committed relationships.

Whether you are just starting out and want to set your relationship up for success, are looking for a tune-up to keep your relationship on the right track, or feel that you’ve become disconnected, learning these skills can make all the difference.

Dr.s John and Julie Gottman have developed this program based on decades of research, designing it to give couples the information they need, and an opportunity to practice using new skills in a supportive, safe environment.

Group Dates:

Every Other Monday from 6:45-8:15pm

(2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20, 6/3)

Workshop: 

Participants will have the option of attending in person, or participating live online. Recordings of each class will also be available to registered participants.

(Refreshments will be provided)

Fee: Normally $600 per couple. For a limited time, only $480 per couple, payable over 4 monthly payments of $120! Includes two workbooks & a copy of the Seven Principles book.

Social/Life Skills Group

In these group classes, we work on teaching, learning, and practicing social skills in a fun and non-threatening manner to children and/or adolescents with on Autism Spectrum, with Asperger’s Syndrome, and/or with ADHD.

Group Dates:

Tuesdays from 5pm – 6pm for 6 consecutive sessions

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Classes

In these group classes, we teach DBT skills to clients. We also sometimes offer co-occurring parent DPT skills groups.

We are planning to offer three DBT classes in Spring 2017.  One for middle school age, one for high school age, and one for adults.

Organizational Skills Group

In these group classes, children and/or adolescents work on building and practicing organizational and study skills in a group setting that is fun, non-threatening, and skill building.
